How The Journey Unfolds

The Northern Circuit Route

Our itineraries follow the classic Northern Circuit, adaptable to 5, 7, or 10-day programmes.

Day 1 · Arrival

Arusha or Moshi

The journey begins in Arusha or Moshi, the gateway to Northern Tanzania. Settle in, meet your guide, and prepare for the adventure ahead with a briefing dinner.

Day 2 · First Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Known for tree-climbing lions, vast flamingo flocks, and a spectacular soda lake. Compact but extraordinarily rich in wildlife encounters.

Day 2-3 · En Route

Tarangire National Park

Famous for baobab-studded landscapes and the largest elephant herds in Northern Tanzania. The Tarangire River is a magnet for all wildlife during the dry season.

Day 3 · Overnight Base

Karatu Highlands

Rest overnight in the lush highlands above the crater rim. Accommodation options include the charming Kudu Lodge, Endoro Lodge, and the elegant Highview Coffee Lodge set amongst coffee plantations.

Day 4 · World Heritage Site

Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the greatest natural amphitheatre on Earth — a self-contained ecosystem sheltering all Big Five, vast wildebeest herds, and the endangered black rhino. Overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Camp or Ngorongoro Safari Lodge.

Day 5-7 · Grand Finale

Serengeti National Park

The iconic Serengeti — endless plains, dramatic cheetah chases, lion prides at dawn, and the thundering Migration. Stay at Serengeti Safari Lodge, Serengeti Wild Camp, or explore Ikoma with its renowned night game drives at Ikoma Wild Camp.
